Cycling Ireland – TriCycle 2009

After the success of Bike Week ’09, Cycling Ireland – the governing body of cycling in Ireland – wanted to host their own event to celebrate the many joys of cycling in September ’09

Cycling Ireland asked us to help them organise a fun cycle where three groups of cyclists commenced a 10km cycle from three districts in Dublin City to a central point, that of Irishtown Stadium in Ringsend. The primary aim of the event was to encourage leisure cycling in Dublin City, with the three start points of the cycle being Dun Laoghaire seafront, Bull Island at Dollymount Strand, and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Numerous activities were organised for the central point in Irshtown Stadium; including face painters for the children, a live jazz band and various food and drink stalls.

98FM were our media partners, broadcasting live on the day from Irishtown.

The event was enjoyed by all, the scorching weather being an added bonus!
